Bad Dreams Denmark X Little!Reader

He could hear you. His little princess of the north is what he called you. You were crying in your sleep again. Matthias got out of bed quickly then and soon moved down the hall. You were curled up holding your bear, sleeping still but seriously crying in your sleep. You had been plagued by nightmares recently but he was always so far into sleep that he never heard you. Well tonight he had and he was going to get them to stop. He walked over and knelt and soon shook you gently. You quickly shot up and through your small blurry eyes, you saw only him.

“Big brother?”

“Yeah… are you ok hon? You were crying.” You sniffled then as more fell. He quickly got up then and just held you.

“More nightmares?” you nodded against his chest and soon just crawled into his lap. He smiled then and petted your soft hair.

“Well I can’t have that. My princess needs to sleep like the angel she is.” You smiled then. You always felt special when he called you that.

“So why don’t you come sleep with me? I’ve got something over my bed that is supposed to help keep nightmares away ok?” you nodded then. Anything to keep them away. Every one of them had been your family leaving you for no reason. So he held you close as he walked back to his room and soon jumped gently onto the bed with you making you giggle. Soon you saw it.

“Hey Uncle Lukas called that a dream catcher!” Matthias smiled then.

“Yeah it is. He made it for me. I used to have the same ones you’re having. Why don’t we see if he’ll make you one then the next time we see him?” you nodded yawning. Matthias smiled and soon helped you get under the blankets. Soon you were curled up against his chest dead asleep. He just smiled and soon laid an arm over you. No matter how many times the others left him alone, he would always have you. his little princess still needed her knight after all.
