A Spell Bound Story Prologue Mage! Norway

A long time ago, there once was a pale man. The pale man was strong with the magical arts of light but he longed for someone by his side to help. That was when he met the beautiful woman. She was full of goodness and grace. Together, they safe guarded the peace for many years. During those years though, the beautiful woman began to wonder. she wanted to find a way to keep her and the pale man safer during the times of the darkness. She ventured out on her own many times until she met a dark mage willing to help her. They had been hunted into hiding by her and the pale man but not once had she seen their magic at work. So in secret on moonless nights, the beautiful woman trained with the dark mage, unknowing to the pale man. Soon though he noticed a change. Her once golden hair was getting darker and darker. The spark he loved in her eyes was slowly fading. She did everything she could to hide this from him. potion after potion, spell after spell but once the heart is tainted by the darkness, it can never be cleansed. Finally the pale man confronted her, after discovering her teacher in a cave near by their house and begged her to turn away from the darkness. The beautiful woman though, grew angry and that night they dueled. His last move was a spell that would make her forget all magic but the beautiful woman blocked it with a shadowy wall and threw him against the house. the chimney fell on the pale man before he could react and soon he was lying there unconscious. The beautiful woman was struck with terror then and with her teacher, fled into the night. Over the next year, she grew more powerful until she rose to lead the dark mages. The pale man had no choice then. Thus began the war.
